In relation with the newly launched eSports portal, Dafabet inks partnership contract with the London-headquartered pro sports organization Fnatic. Although the eSport team did not reveal the full terms and conditions, Dafabet agrees to become the principal sponsor of all Fnatic eSports teams and tournament activities. In response with that, Fnatic will provide content and promotion for Dafabet eSports, a community where enthusiasts learn, discover and share the same interests.
Since 2004, Dafabet was a known brand for e-gaming and sports betting. This is the first time partnering with an eSports organization since they’ve been into successful sponsorships like Aston Villa, Blackburn Rovers, Sunderland, Dafabet Masters (World Snooker) and Welsh Premier League. By the same token in 2011, Fnatic’s team has been known in their respective eSports victories Like CS: GO, League of Legends (LoL), Smite, Heroes of the Storm and Dota 2. At present, the team continues to perform well which made them in constant limelight and worthy for sponsorships.
Following up with the news about the partnership, John Cruces Head of Sports Marketing and Sponsorships at Dafabet said “We are looking forward to seeing Dafabet logo on the shirts of Fnatic’s team members as they compete in upcoming live eSports matches.” Although, this is not the first time Fnatic had dealt with a gambling company, Wouter Sleijffers regarded Dafabet deal as “first” in eSports and will be part of what the eSports team shares and is all about. In the past, they have been sponsorship offerings from betting companies like Draft Kings and Counter Logic Gaming but were all declined.
Furthermore, Jason Hutcheson Head of eSports at Dafabet has been interviewed and asked about his thoughts with the said sponsorship. “Our company is really passionate about the eSports industry’s growth and is proud to be the first online betting provider to sponsor an eSports team like Fnatic.” He said.
