Dafabet proudly announces a headline sponsorship deal with Welsh Premier League. In a release via WPL website, the gaming company’s sponsorship team agrees and signs the sponsorship from 2015-2018 Season, which will also cover this year’s European Championships hosted by France. Moving forward, this 3-year deal serves as Welsh team’s bid to qualify for 2018 FIFA World Cup.
So far, Dafabet’s summer sponsorship is the biggest in the history of Welsh Premier League. In line with that, the betting company also showcases shirt sponsorships with Everton, Sunderland AFC, Blackburn Rovers and the pro eSports team Fnatic. Back in 2002, the said League was named League of Wales and as part of the sponsorship deal, it is now changed to Dafabet Welsh Premier League.
In an interview following the news about Dafabet sponsorship, WPL League Secretary Gwyn Derfel said “I am very pleased that Dafabet have become headline sponsors for our National League in Wales” With over a decade in the industry, the gaming company retained its reputation by continuously providing unique and exciting experience whilst securing safe and fair environment to players. “Dafabet’s increasing portfolio of partnerships with major players in the sporting world only shows the company’s faith in our ever improving product. I Thank them and look forward to a productive future”, Derfel added.
The negotiation between Dafabet and Welsh Premier League was facilitated by Phil Canavan, Director of SEM (Sports Entertainment Marketing Ltd.) together with Dafabet’s Head of Sports Marketing and Sponsorships, John Cruces. In an interview, John said “Increasing our presence in English football for the forthcoming season as well as forming our first partnership in Scottish football (with Celtic) just recently, it made sense for us to grab the opportunity to make an impact in Welsh Football when the league sponsorship option was presented to us. By sponsoring the WPL we’ll be seen across all the clubs in the league which will help us increase our brand presence in the United Kingdom. We look forward to working together.”
SEM works closely with different international brands through amplification of marketing activity within sports and entertainment sectors. Following up with Dafabet sponsorship, there will be a season launch previewing the latest campaign which will definitely kick-off on 22nd day of August.
